Whatever you do is a new brick in life.

The Trial: how do you judge yourself?

One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands: "The Trial", by Pink Floyd. This song is about life, this song is about everything, everything in just one song. The Trial is not the final song from "The Wall", but it's decisive. It's the reflex of the whole life of "Pink", the principal character of the movie.

The song, and actually the movie, were created by Roger Waters, based on his own childhood and the cruel days of Syd Barret, former member of the band, who became mad, years after he left the band.

The whole movie (with their songs, specially "the trial") is a master piece: the amazing techniques, the intense music and melodies, the advanced animation, the weird characters and, of course, the meaningful topic and its metaphores, everything makes a perfect movie. It definitely catch your attention.

There are a lot of different interpretations about this song, for me it hasn't just one meaning, but like Waters said, it's like a self judgment, because in some moment of life you really have to ask yourself about you. About the decisions and mistakes you made, about friends and family, about your lifestyle, about the government, etc.

This is a reflection, a critical song in many aspects (including a critique of the British political system) to inquire about yourself and the world where you live.

If you haven't seen the movie I really recommend you to do it.
